As someone in their mid-twenties with no kids, it was nice to be surrounded by adults onboard while also being able to enjoy everything that CocoCay is known for. The premium resort complex also offers as facilities and amenities a clubhouse, an infinity swimming pool, daybeds, beverage service, The Grille (complimentary restaurant). Among CocoCay's newly added amenities is the new swim-up bar located near Barefoot Beach (aka South Beach). The new bar is adults-only and was inaugurated in July 2016. It is freely floating in the ocean, meaning to get a drink the island's visitors have to swim to it.
Towels, freshwater showers, restrooms and beach access wheelchairs are all included as part of a Perfect Day at CocoCay. Right next to Coco Beach Club, South Beach is a gorgeous area for families and cruisers to relax and chill on the beach. It has a traditional beach sports zone, including volleyball courts and basketball.
You’ll have a whole day at Perfect Day at CocoCay to enjoy yourself. Guests with accessible needs will also find lifts in our pool areas, lower countertops at our bars, ramps to the dining area, accessible restrooms and showers. Like in other tropical destinations, rain showers tend to pass quickly and you can see them coming. I got caught in a downpour for about an hour on my most recent visit, so I hid under an umbrella and ate lunch. Before and after the shower, I enjoyed the beach, pool and attractions with no problem.

While we didn’t really get to enjoy the Oasis Lagoon this time around, it looked like a blast. Hideaway Beach's The Hideout area is reserved for private cabanas. You can rent floating mats from three stations, one on South Beach and two on Chill Island. You can pick up snorkel gear for personal use at the snorkel shack on Chill Island near Seaside Point. You'll need to purchase zip line access as you would any shore excursion, and then check in on the island near the Thrill Waterpark entrance. Lockers are available to store your valuables while you ride. You must be at least 4 feet tall and between 75 and 275 pounds to ride.
At CocoCay, Royal Caribbean offers a variety of complimentary activities that ensure guests can enjoy their time on the island without additional expenses.
